From the ballroom, you hear the groovy strains of "Soul Bossa Nova" by Quincy Jones.

Brother Nitrous turns to you and says, "So what do you think?"

A minute or two later, Helen Asher hurries into the dining room, her lip trembling with the effort to maintain her composure. She looks dizzy and supports herself against the wall, sobbing quietly, then quickly wipes the tears from her face and dashes out through the French doors to the patio.

Just then, Chip emerges through the door at the north end of the dining room. He seems a little startled to see you and Brother Nitrous, then he smiles and says, "Hey, guys... how do you like the party?"
