"Stink" by John Lurie can be heard grooving from the ballroom.

You step through door #3, keeping your eye on the action in the upstairs hall, and enter a tidy office with framed prints and photographs on the wall, a large mahogany desk, file cabinets, a computer, and other office accoutrements. You notice a framed photo and several files on the desk. There is an open window in the north wall.

There is a door hanging open to the south; through it you can see Red Sonja looking around the bathroom.

You glace back to see what's going on in the hall:

Brother Sputum has just emerged from a door on the southwest side of the hall. Brother Doofus stands unmoving in the elevator, apparently too stunned to move. Mike Wellman has collapsed to the ground and is curled into the fetal position; the Sexy Vampire is kneeling beside him, trying to hear whatever it is he's gurgling.

The Fairie Queen turns to Chip and screams, "CHIP! WHERE DID THAT GUN COME FROM?" Chip is too stunned to do anything but stammer.

Before you can decide how to approach Governor Asher, he rushes down the stairs to the first floor, just as a sexy female paramedic appears at the top of the stairs. She rushes over and kneels down beside Mike, shining a flashlight in his eyes.

"What's wrong with him?" the Fairie Queen asks.

"I'd say he's tripping his brains out," the paramedic says, pulling out a hypodermic needle. "This should bring him down...then we'll find out what's what."
